Our workshops at TheWorkstore aren't lockups tucked at the back of an industrial estate or damp garages with a single strip light. They're private, lockable units inside a clean, secure building on Doulton Road, Cradley Heath — with power and lighting built in, wide doorways for kit, and a proper concrete floor you can work on without worrying about it.
Access is quiet and quick. The StorID app on your phone opens the perimeter gate and the building doors, 24/7 — so you can start early, finish late, or come in on a Saturday to catch up on a job. There's free parking right outside for you and for customers dropping off. Deliveries can come to reception during working hours and we'll sign for them. The rest of the time, it's your unit, your key, your space.
And when you have a question — about your unit, about a larger space, about anything at all — you'll get a person on the phone. Not a call centre in another city, not a chatbot that can't help. TheWorkstore is a Perry family venture, and the Perry family have been trading in the Black Country since 1925. Three generations of running local businesses means we still treat tenants like tenants — with actual people who know the site, know the units, and pick up the phone when it rings.

Some of our self-storage units have power built in — same building, same 24/7 access, same on-site staff Monday to Friday. We already have businesses running from them — lighter footprint than a full workshop, and often quicker to get into.
